Delivery and Installation of Integrated Automated Flood Forecasting and Warning System – POVAPSYS, which forms a part of the Flood Protection Program in the Slovak Republic.

It was about building a system to ensure that relevant hydrometeorological forecasts or warnings were delivered to competent authorities in the crisis management system as soon as possible. This significantly increased the output of meteorological and hydrological services not only in the case of floods affecting larger territorial units, but also local flood events.
VEĽKÝ JAVORNÍK
The rapid and effective detection of the first signs of rainstorms in the affected area is crucial for the performance and coordination of meteorological and hydrological services, addressing the problems of observation, data evaluation, rapid communication, modelling and forecasting meteorological and hydrological processes. The system informs users operatively about current flood forecasts and warnings.
